Doesn't Top Rank have their own Berto, Guerrero and Alexnader's = Alvarado, Rios, Abregu, Juan Diaz?

Haymon's fighters are more relevant at WW right now. Alvarado and Rios are shopworn to say the least; Abregu hasn't fought since he lost to Ali, and Baby Bull can't seem to make his mind up about his career. I'm not sure if these guys would provide Kon with much of a challenge or learning experience.

I googled this match and boxingscene as a keyword and apparently the last news ever written by boxingscene was a live results thread on the day of the PPV, bunched up together with all the other smaller fights of the Pac-Bradley PPV.

This fight was a bit important I guess because the winner now entered the top 10 WW's. He is only 23 years old, he is Russian. He beat and dominated another top prospect late last year Mikael Zewski who was 26-0. Solomon is not great but respectable also 26-0..This guy KP is taking 0's. Boxingscene reported that the fight was dominated by the Russian and the scorecards were off. This kid is 5'10", and is trained by Abel Sanchez. Anyone knows his promoter?
I saw the fight, he was on the untelevised portion of the PPV I believe. Soloman got taken to school but the Russian didn't look stellar, he looked good, throws a lot of punches.

I never heard of ponomarev, so I looked him up in boxrec. Judging by his photo there, I label him a runner

Lol he does appear to be ready to run, but not away, looks like he's eagerly charging at someone to viciously KO them.

Juan Diaz indicated off his last fight he is 100% focused on winning the title. Based on his last fight which he showed HUGE volumes of punches like he did when he was active, he would easily beat Ponomarev with that volume. He is serious again about his career.

Not sold on Ponomarev. A few fights back he was getting ****** up and hurt by some club fighter on a Top Rank undercard stream.

I was actually quite surprised to hear Soloman lost. But it was bound to happen.

Good to hear. After Diaz knocks off all the rust, TR will probably look to match him against Crawford. I'm not sure if Arum would waste Diaz's resurgence on Konstantin.

I thought Ponomarev just outworked Solomon, it was fairly competitive though. I should mention, I didn't score it. Good fight tho and Ilbay-Kavaliauskas was decent (another two undefeated welters on the card) and Gvozdyk looks like a nice edition to the light heavyweight division.
