Naw. The Ortiz-Berto winner is supposed to be Garcia's fight. Garcia needs to stop bull****tin and step it up. I used to be a big fan of his after Khan and Matthysse. Now I'm really starting not to care for him.

I'll be honest tho. I don't think Spence beats Brook right now. I think Brook is the best WW out there. I think they should put that fight off until the mandatory is due in March. Both are bigger welters. They might end up meeting at SWW.

Oh and btw, I heard all this same hype and 'people will duck him' spiel about Porter. Its just passed on to the next up coming American.

Im still amazed that Khan never took the fight. He's instead opted for a harder fight for about the same money he was offered to fight Brook

Time will tell. I would be surprised if Brook/Hearns didnt chase one of the top band of WW's for his next fight. Only stumbling block to that could be Broner who brings money and name value but obviously is not a top WW.
yeah but khan really sohuld have lost to algeiri. that was a bad decision. algeiri was busting him up and landing the much better punches. khan got that one on "calzaghe activity" not on clean punching.

i don't blame brook for goign after it but he had no back up plan at all. it was khan or bums. or in other word bums.

brook needs to at least try to fight garcia, bradley, spence, vargas etc...

well at the time brook didn't seem to want that fight. props to him for taking it although it was a clinch fest which hurt his standing with the american networks. if he had come out and won impressive they probably would have wanted to start showing him. its very hard for foreign fighters to get into the american market. guys like pac and ggg did it because they not only won but were entertaining. brook just won but stnk it out.

It's not that. I like Porter but hed already struggled vs Gomez and Julio Diaz. Spence clearly has much higher upside. You could say he's The Special One

I agree and I said that at the time. I think Hearn underestimated how stubborn and dumb Khan is. They assumed the fight would be made, because it made the most sense to everyone involved. So instead of fighting opponents who could derail this huge payday, they trod water waiting for Khan to inevitably sign the contract... as it turned out Khans masochistic side kicked in and he went for the current lineal MW champion instead. Then his IBF mando happened... and we all know how strict the IBF is

Now he is free to pick an opponent without Khan in the picture and with his mando a year away. If he still fights someone **** now then I agree, he is ducking.

I'm really not interested in the American networks, they aren't required.

Brook doesn't generally clinch, it was a result of Porter lunging in with his head down as always. Brook fights are never full of clinching, every Porter fight is a clinch-fest...put the blame where you want, but it's a constant with Porter.

Those same networks gladly pay Porter, Andre Ward, Alexander, etc... millions.

                    That's what I thought too.

After Porter beat feather fisted Malignaggi everybody were saying how he's the next big thing and how he'd beat Brook.

Now that Spence's knocked out his feather fisted c level but somehow known fighter, they're saying the same things about Erroll.

Not saying Spence can't beat him, but people are ignoring his obvious flaws (defence, questionable chin) and hyping him up to be this big boogeyman to other WWs (Spence beating Pacquiao easily is my personal favorite ). When will these mofos learn?

... The guy clinches when he has to... In that fight he clinched the hell out of Porter.
