GGGis a really good fighter... Who should've moved up a long time ago... "Great" middleweights fighters, after ten years, would've already been in the light heavyweight division... Could you imagine how ridiculous Pac and Mayweather would've been if after 10 years they were in their original divisions??? Both were in their 4th divisions, winning championships, aftrr ten years... Great fighters strive for greatness and currently, GGG isn't fighting anyone the boxing public (outside of his fans) cares to watch...

    Peace

      Koba, the problem is this.....

Because of those lies..... the situation that you and I understand, which is "they..... playing the same risk/reward game as every other fighter"..... gets turned into this.....

      Martinez is a coward
      Cotto is a b1tch and a coward
Ward is a coward, and he is boring
Lara is a runner, nobody wants to watch him fight
Canelo is a coward, his resume is rubbish

      Not nice.

A lot of great fighters only fought in 1 division.

Golovkin is not great, I'm just saying......

2 of the greatest, Hagler and Monzon, never moved up, and Hopkins didn't move up till 40, having unified the belts and fought WW superstars long ago. Canelo is the biggest fight around, however it's looking like he's gonna duck like so many before him

If only you got W's for "being willing" to fight a guy...

I agree with everything you said about Hagler Monzon and Hagler... But we also agree that they were battle t step before any acclaim was placed on them...

My quick two cents on Canelo... Canelo isn't afraid but Oscar doesn't want to risk it yet...

GGG is cashing in on much easier fights... and i can't really blame him... Because Canelo and Cotto are both definitely easier fights than Ward or Kovs... He goes 2-2

Move up against whom? Smw sucks, and the best fighters are managed by Haymon.

People have got to stop comparing Pac to Golovkin. It's an idiotic comparison. Moving up 2 lbs per division as you're growing is vastly different from moving up 8 lbs when you're 30.
More so you need incentive to move up. He has none. He'd have to negotiate with Haymon, overpay his opponents from his own pocket and grab 400k viewers on HBO.

                It's a ****** career move.

Why? It's great there's fighters out there that'll step out of their weight class as a one off.

But they fought superstars to prove their greatness , GGG fights B graders and is hyped as good by young impressionable fans who think belts are more important than who holds them .
