he was a decent fighter though and very technically sound but I didn't see something special. At the same time, I haven't seen much special from Loma either but Loma is a better fighter.
Overstatement on my behalf, I do happen to recall my frustration with the Garcia's after Salido began coming on strong and broke Mikey's nose. Although the fight was called off and Mikey took the win home on points. However, Garcia was dominating Salido rather easily for the initial rounds and up until Salido began his grinding segment.

Lomachenko is extremely talented in his own right and ways. I take nothing from neither outstanding fighter, regardless of whom I think would win in a head to head contest.

If Loma can handle the power his workrate should get him the decision. However I will not count out Mikey. He has serious skills and power.

i just don't see anyone beating loma in a boxing match and i don't think mikey has the temperament to brutalise him. and loma is arguably still green as a pro, so we may not have even seen his own "prime" yet

Mikey has a stiff jab, excellent timing, counters well and possesses knockout power, so I think he has the tools to slow down Loma's workrate. Also, Loma had somewhat of a deer caught in the headlights expression when first getting a taste of Salido's power and spent too much time clinching in the first half of the fight rather than letting his hands go, so I wonder how he'll react to Mikey who combines skill with power. Overall, both guys are skilled in their own way with Loma being the busier guy and Mikey being more dangerous.

            Thoughts?
Mikey does everything Loma tries to do better.
We also have the Salido fight for reference.
            Mikey KO around the mid-rounds

I love Lomachenko, but I think people are either forgetting how good Garcia was or never truly realized it. I say Garcia beats Loma.

This is a refreshing response on BS. Glad to see you admitted you were wrong but look, I agree with you, both guys are good fighters. How good is Mikey after such a long lay off? And did we ever really see him at his best? Are questions that would need to be answered.

Lomachenko by clear UD. Mikey would be at a significant handspeed and footspeed disadvantage and Loma is too smart to give him counterpunching opportunities.

Only a world class pressure fighter can bother Loma in my opinion.

A prime Salido gives Lomachenko hell in any weight class.
