fury took the title from Wlad, yes.

Wlad should come back and salvage his legacy.

Only if Wilder gets past povetkin and takes the true title from Wlad would he become "lineal champ".

Im rooting for Deontay to do this.

... OK... It's your opinion, but one can only "claim the lineage" by fighting and defeating the "lineal" champ... You know this, but you think everything goes according to Floyd's pattern -- for instance he defended his 154 belt at 147...

OP might be the smartest troll on the board.

All his posts are believable but also wrong enough that everyone is going to respond. He's a genius.

If Fury and Klitschko both retire today and don't fight again, then Wilder and Povetkin would probably be for the lineage

                But that's about it.

If Fury, Klitschko, Wilder and Povetkin all die today then Joshua is the "lineal champ"... and so on.

Exactly. I was just trying to point out what had to happen before Wilder could be considered lineal champion.

... Well... It's also about the Ring magazine board, which also awards the "lineal" titles -- these are widely approved for the Middleweight and Heavyweight divisions...
