they let Canelo-Khan through, but don't offer Cotto the same courtesy. Khan is a bigger name than any of Cotto's potential match-ups, but it's just a bit surprising that they would block Cotto when he's probably gonna retire soon.

I'd just like to see them apply the same standards for opponents to everybody across the board.

It's simple. Cotto needs an opponent who can help him generate the 15 million that's left in his contract with RocNation. No fighters who could aid in achieving that were available. They even tried reaching for lesser tier fighters eventually, but none of it seemed to make sense. Plus, I suspect Arum was blocking a lot of fights as revenge. In any case, it's the same reason Cotto chose Canelo instead of GGG--money. Now, Cotto will choose to wait for either Marquez or a Canelo rematch.

Believe me when I say Cotto isn't ducking anybody, and he never did. That was much more hype from fans and a bit of gullibility from an ESPN writer. Cotto would have fought GGG, had the economics made sense.

Do you know HBO contacted Brook's promoter to ask if Brook will fight Cotto? Hearn told them yes so HBO asked Cotto if he will fight Brook in June but they didn't get a reply so Hearn contacted ROC and again no reply.... HBO rejected the BS fights Cotto wanted to take as they deemed them not PPV worthy but they were happy to go with Brook.

Name me 1 active fighter that can generate him $15M? He was happy to fight the likes of Rosado but they wouldn't of generated him that kind of money so it wasn't about the money or those names wouldn't of been put forward.

Canelo can, and I suspect Marquez can help him generate 15M as well. That's why he's waiting for them. They wanted Cotto to fight Marquez, and after that stalled, they started searching through everybody. None of it made economic sense, hence the wait.

Cotto is a joke he's obviously agreed to fight Rosado, Chaves and Kirkland but HBO have told him to piss off, they contacted brook's promoter as they see Cotto-Brook PPV worthy but Cotto has **** it he wanted an easy payday. Well done HBO.

Same thing is happening again. He tried to fight Kirkland, Diego Chavez and Gabe Rosado but HBO said FOH and fight someone worthy you pink croc wearing glorified gate keeper. They offered him Brook but that was too much of a challenge..

Now we wait for him to fight a 43 year old semi retired career light weight in Marquez in the fall. Funny thing is I swear Marquez at 147 can beat him. Def betting on that one
