There's plenty of other things that can be done if that's not satisfactory for you. Have step aside contract between GGG and Canelo say that the fight won't happen until the end of the year (Decemberish), which is when the fight is most likely to take place anyway. Ward fight wouldn't interfere even if delayed by injury. Don't see any reason Canelo wouldn't agree to that.

The fact that 50/50 was offered means that Ward doesn't think he's a clear A-side. Other wise he would ask for a higher split for himself. It also means that it was negotiable since first offers are usually lowball. Let them figure out and negotiate. There's no reason why it wouldn't have financially viable for both them whatever it would be.
