Comments Thread For: Saunders: Standing My Ground, Golovkin Must Come To England!

WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (23-0, 12KOs) has no interest in traveling over to the United States for a unification with WBA/IBO/IBF champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs).

talking about ward again lol. 50-50 i'll fight you in 15 months in a division i don't fight in! omg he ducked by rejecting a terrible offer! he should have molded his entire career on doing what ward wants and when ward wants it. what a duck.

Golovkin fights in Monte Carlo sometimes so i'm sure he would have no problem going to the UK. I'm sure he would make big money coming here anyway.

This dude is talking about being concerned about the judges in America as if he'd see the final bell. Either get ko'd in front of Americans or get ko'd in front of your own people in England. Either way, you're getting ko'd.

Seems like a good time to be Golovkin fan, in 2015 not a single person wanted to step into the ring with him and now we got Canelo, BJS, or Ramirez

All I know is they offered less than £1mil to Saunders to fight in the U.S. There's no way Saunders is going to the U.S as a world champion, where his only chance is on points, to fight Golovkin. Lets see if a fight can happen in the summer. it's not as easy as, "lets fight". You would need to sort venues and the undercard. I don't see this being a headline event in the U.K, it would need another big fight on there and a stacked card to sell tickets as Saunders isn't a big draw
