Comments Thread For: Khan: I Won't Be Stronger, But I'll Stand With Canelo and Fight Him

Amir Khan has vowed to 'shock the world' by pulling off an audacious upset win over Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. The British fighter has climbed up almost two weight divisions to face Alvarez at 155lbs with the WBC middleweight belt on the line, and is relishing the biggest fight of his career in Las Vegas on May 7.

The fear of getting KO'd is definitely in his head. It should be, because Khan is definitely tasting the canvas next month.

The more I think about it, does Canelo have KO power

He KO'd Kirkland, dude was a punching bag. But khan is yet again another long inactive fighter. Something Canelo seems to only fight.

If Canelo scores the KO it will because of weakness of Khan chin.

Canelo is a pretty weak puncher for a MW sized fighter.

I don't think he means he's going toe-to-toe with Canelo. As he says, he understands that he's not stronger than Canelo.

Stand with Canelo and fight him? You didn't even stand with Algieri.

Just stick to what you're good at........................... which is extremely limited at best.

I don't think if Khan won it would shock the world Canelo is flat footed and you never call a great fighter flat footed with maybe the exception of Foreman and Canelo is no George.

Khan is moving up eight pounds and says along with Virgil that this weight suits and Welterweight drains him as all the other weights did! So if Khan won it would tell us just as much about Canelo who is good but slow and is obviously not full of confidence regards his own abilities fighting a unproven welterweight.

In my opinion this is a misguided mismatch and I feel Canelo for his limitations would have beaten Khan at any weight.
