Comments Thread For: Roach: Terence Crawford vs. Viktor Postol is a 50-50 Fight

Trainer Freddie Roach has made it clear that he doesn't believe Manny Pacquiao will retire and he's stated that he'd love to see his best known client face Terence Crawford next. But one of his other fighters could throw a monkey wrench into those plans - Viktor Postol, who currently holds the WBC 140-pound title.

its funny when people bring up that canelo was hurt by little cotto but everyone hypes up crawford and never mention little gamboa whooping him early. crawford gets blown out by bradley, maidana, lucas, ruslan, JMM, pac, rnu time thurman, prob even garcia. i dont think crawford beats any of those guys to be honest.

Yeah I dont understand the intense hyping of Crawford either. Gamboa was himself a hyped prospect dropped in a showcase bout damn cant remember by who, and shelved for a while. Crawford seems like a good, well rounded fighter, but suddenly people have him beating everyone. This fight should be interesting.

exactly, i agree with you. gamboa was dropped by salido but he was also dropped by that asian guy on pac vs JMM 4 if i remember correctly.

for so many years i always said gamboa was a bad knock out waiting to happen. gamba was good against b c level fighters. i feel the same way about terrance. i think terrance will be built up and then be beat by the first top fighter in good condition that he faces, not someone like robert guerrero.

True, Gamboa was getting to TC for a good part of that fight -- but TC ended up wrecking him in the end.

ofcourse Gamboa got at Crawford for a little bit of that fight youll forget that Gamboa is a former Gold medalist. It ultimately came down to what Crawford said in the prefight build up "Gamboa is a good fighter but hes a midget." Seems to be the narrative in every Crawford fight where he gets hit at first then ultimately stops you.
