This is Arum's wishful thinking. There is a ton of money in the rematch, for sure. It's still richer than any other fight in boxing.

But it isn't money Floyd absolutely needs, and after the long slog the first fight was to negotiate- I don't think all parties involved are equally eager to go back in to make it happen again.

Also let's not forget that it was a sucky fight.

So #48 still wants a rematch? Absurd no need for one. Floyd beat #48 10 out of 10 times.

Its the only fight for either man. Any other, and they should stay retired

You're right Arum, there are some serious obstacles to overcome in making this fight. For example, both fighters are retired.

I would prefer it if Floyd fought GGG and Manny fought Thurman or Brook.

I would be interested if they entered into a 4 man tourney with Thurman and Brook. If Floyd beat Thurman and Manny beat Brook, then maybe a rematch wouldn't be bad.

Rematch don't need to happen because the first one wasn't even close and it was boring. Add on all the excuses and shannanigins and you got a hot, stinking ball of mess in a rematch. Damn shame how greedy the sport of boxing has become. Ever since Floyd made all that money fighting Oscar, everyone lost their damn minds.
