You can't compare Whyte's performance to Martin tho. Whyte rocked AJ badly and nearly had him out of there, he was by far AJs toughest fight. Martin felt the right hand, **** himself and quit.Originally posted by Rip ChuddQuote:

I feel the same. I really don't get the hype with Whyte. If anything he's on the same level as Martin or even worse, dudes best win is Brian Minto for crying out loud. He and Martin have been fighting the same level opposition and both got whooped by Joshua

The only thing i'm comparing is that they both got whooped. The difference being in that Whyte actually fought Joshua before. Joshua dispatched of Martin easier but just because of that people think Whyte would beat Martin? Triangle theories don't work in boxing.Comment

How can you say Martin was better than Whyte, explain that ?
He looked ****, and fought **** and he must of landed 1 punch

its not triangle theory. its whyte has some boxing skill. martin has no idea how to box. he's slow, square, and stiff.Comment

Martin actually has boxing skill. Good jab to the body when he uses it, decent hand speed, and no he isn't stiff. You know people should watch more than just his last fight if you want to get a good read on a fighter.

I thought Martin didn't have enough time to settle into the fight and was surprised by AJ's power. Heck, he wasn't even that hurt...if he'd just focussed, calmed himself he would have rode it out. As for Whyte, HE WAS HURT when he was KOd, not so for Martin. He was smiling ffs, he took the punches well. Martin will learn from this and come back stronger mentally.Comment
