The louisville lip may fu(king disagree with you XD Ali is the Greatest of All Time purely on the back of shouting it a million times... or did you miss the part where Frazier won the first fight?

Re-phrase - sound bites with substance.Did you really just say sound bites don't make legendary fighters in a thread about Muhammad Ali?? Are you really that vacant? One talks, the other actually says something.Comment

He got one chance and he beat the man. No reason to hate on Fury inside the ring beyond his tendency to punch himself in the face.
This one does have me torn... Part of me says Ali is too fast and makes him miss like a toddler and KO's him or an easy UD
Then the other parts says life don't work like that...Tyson has real skills and it's actually embarrassing to say he doesn't. He's longer and knows how to use it.
Could be Hearns-Leonard 1 with or without the rallying knockout from the smaller man..(and no Fury doesn't hit like Hearns but Ali didn't hit like Leonard)Comment

Great comparison.
Nonetheless, I'm bored of Fury already, and have (like many), been bored of Klitch forever. Let's just get on with Joseph Parker running amok and be done with it.Comment

Fury would beat the living **** right out of a prime Ali.

Prime Ali was far faster and stronger than jennings who dropped fury. He was better defensively in his young career than when he got older don't forget that. You have your choice that's fine, but Fury is fast by giant's standards, by an uberathletic virtual cruiserweight standards, not so much. He's woefully slow by those standards. He definitely has his advantages, but he's not particularly good at cutting off the ring, getting his hands in a defensive position/ not allowing counters, or making foes pay for mistakes. Don't confuse an elderly klitschko with prime ali (which BTW was pre prison not post, do your research Ali's key to defense was head movement and foot movement when he got old that didn't work as well). What master traps is Ali going to set on a FAST footed 6'9 giant southpaw with 85 inches of reach? Fury doesn't need to be a k.o puncher ,he hits hard enough hes 250 plus pounds ,and Ali's not remotlley a hard hitter either at 210/215 pounds. Ive seen guys as slow as molassess deck Ali . Fury may not be heavy handed but he's fast and will tag Ali up and find it easy to hit the lean straight back Ali defense. More than anyone Ali relied on reach because he had poor defense. Fury would out manauever him relatively easy. If this were an actual modern fight and Ali never had the history he does ,rest assured about 90% of the posters on here would pick fury as well.there to mesmerized by history to actually think Fury would win,and they have no actual reasoning behind it other than ,he's Ali. Terrible stylistic match up for Ali,a behemoth with a jab also who doesn't sit still either.Comment

Jennings didn't drop Fury cunninham did,and that type of punch Ali never through in his life, which is a crouched power shot over a overly taller guy. so lets put things into real perspective.Ali nevr fought a 6'9 giant who could fight, could he out point fury? Maybe but I don't see ant fight that shows me this. Who is more skilled? Ali is slightly but you are confusing amany ali clips with actual full fights that you would see he does not exactly beat everyone he's supposed to that easy.Atain I don't find Fury particularly that great, but hes 6'9 and can box...I don't find Ali that great either to be honest...I can dissect him and many things he did wrong as well....so im going with the 6'9 fury who ali would have to hurt to win against as anyone actually would and ali is not a k.o artist unless he breaks you down which wont happen here.Prime Ali was far faster and stronger than jennings who dropped fury. Post number 2 and I have already seen exactly what I was planing to say.
Tyson may be huge and nothing Ali saw before, but how can you even consider anything other than Ali dancing around him all night? Prime Ali from 1966/1967, more notably the Ali from the Williams, Terrell and Folley fights I guess, would have done just that. He danced and moved like nothing a HW ever saw and despite not having rep for a dangerous puncher he could landed some vicious shots at times.
Fury would have caused problems, but it is only down to his size and build seeing as he is lightyears behind in terms of skill. Against a fighter as great as the prime Ali the type of body you happen to possess will not win you the fight.Comment
