What Floyd did to Manny was the furthest thing to "kicked his ass." He ran and hugged like a *****. Manny landed the only real punches in the fight, he gave Mayweather a minor concussion.

          Floyd's? I never watch his.

Mayweather will go down with his "0" and plenty of accomplishments and on paper, seems like it's easy to rank him higher in many regards.

However, as far as excitement and entertainment value, Pacquiao beats him ten fold.

I also have to say that, considering where they both came from, Pacquiao eclipsed him several times. Mayweather came from a family of boxing in the Unites States with lots of inside help in the business. Now, don't get me wrong. He did a tremendous job and we all know that second generation guys tend to disappoint and he accomplished way more than his dad and uncle.

But come on. Pacquaio came from absolutely nothing in the Phillippines all the way to the States and moved all the way up from flyweight for God's sake, blazing his way through the divisions against Barrera(was an underdog), Marquez(probably underdog or even) and Morales(even odds) and then I was certain De La Hoya would beat him and he didn't. Mayweather got a split decision over De La Hoya, but Pac dominated him. He beat the odds again and again and he went into his last fight where many thought he would lose as his opponent was coming off a big win and he was coming off a loss and an eleven month layoff. Now, that is impressive to say the least.

Mayweather was the favorite going into most of his fights and Pac was, too once he got established but Pac also had to come back from the Marquez loss which would have crushed many fighters' spirit and psyche. I think over all, Pac did prove more in the ring during his career.
your post is simply the best in this thread....

              • I doubt either of them are retired. They'll come back.
