Like i said before he is very overrated by this board (nobody outside of here see him as a good fighter). I repeat, he had a close one with old ass marquez, took a ass whooping from espn fighter ruslan prosncjiddbv, drawed with chaves, got hurt by jesse mediocre pillow fist vargas. Without his joke of a W from the first manny fight, he wouldnt be mentioned

Solid fighter in today's error but extremely overrated. He's not the most impressive guy in the ring, top that with his resume missing Khan at 140 and any of the top guys at 47, he's just solid. Not a Hall of Famer.Comment

I think he has the quality to be a HOF level fighter. But the cold war really screwed him in terms of creating a HOF resume. Maybe he'll still do it, but he wound up trading a lot of legacy building fights (with GBP) for the money he got with Top Rank.
I also think that he was destined to be in the shadow of Floyd and Manny regardless of what he did. He beat JMM though, the next best win he could have gotten.Comment

Where does Tim Bradley stand in terms of boxing legacy?
When I look back on his career, I see a guy who started strong, built a solid resume at 140 and despite his shortcomings, was always able to will himself to victory. He could box and brawl when he needed to.
But I also see a career that was hindered by boxing politics. This isn't a business thread. I'm not interested in Bradley dating my daughter so don't come in here with that "he gettin money doe" argument.
But by being with Top Rank, he never got to fight Floyd Mayweather, Danny Garcia, Robert Guerrero, Keith Thurman, Showtime P, and the rest of the GBP and now PBC stable. He also never fought Amir Khan when he probably should have to establish himself as the man at 140.
But in spite of all of this, he still built up a very respectable resume. So to me, I see a fighter that could've been great but left too many "what ifs" by not being able to fight the top welterweights.
Thoughts?
I think it's not worthy of discussion until he is in the twilight of his career.
Bradley has a solid resume but there is still much to be written in his book. Just because he took 2 losses to Pac doesn't mean his career is over, he can still very well become the lineal champ and I don't favor anyone to do it over him. Brook could change my mind but as of right now Bradley is #1 in the division (assuming Pac retires).Comment
