People don't talk about him because of his age. He's not part of the HW future but he's as good as any of the top fighters, maybe even the best in the division.

Isn't a white elephant something that still exists but is going extinct for a reason?

I guess it is a saying that could work because Joshua is the new and makes a guy like Ortiz obsolete.

Ortiz is massively over rated though, he likes to fight from range so the guys bigger than him like Joshua will do just fine with him because he is not a super hard worker who is going to be working to get into his best range all the time. He will hang out try to step in and counter but most likely getting a beating in the process.

                Deontay Wilder would DESTOY Joshua

Tonight proved nothing, he still hasn't learned to block punches, wilder ko's him early

I agree but Ortiz will still work to get on the inside. Put him in the ring with Joshua and he's ready to take a punch to get close and land his own. Ortiz is physically very strong, has a good chin, a big punch and he comes to fight. I don't think he'll be intimidated by Joshua so it should be a good fight for as long as it lasts.

He is getting his sayings mixed up.

A White Elephant is an item that is an expensive useless waste of money.

Ortiz is not a bad boxer but to me he isn't the sort of guy that is going to go find a guy like Joshua.

That is a big issue when faced with a big puncher who can strike from range, because it involves taking a good amount of pain to get the job done. Age plays a factor to because that is not how an older guy generally can succeed. Plus it is not like Ortiz is super quick on his feet to close right away on Joshua missing or making any sort of mistake.

Ortiz could still make it work because if Joshua misses and Ortiz can take advantage as long as he can get in the proper position. It would be a good fight though and a very quality win that most would hold in very high regard, including me because it is much easier to say than do.
