If the fight happens then Haye would stop Joshua IMO. The only problem i see would be Haye stamina down the mid/championship rounds but Joshua himself has never gone past 8 rounds in the pro ranks.
I agree with you about hate possibly stopping josh, but my only reservation is , is haye what he was having had surgery and being out so long.?
I don't even think wilder has fought anyone as good as haye yet, he hasn't probably?
But if josh is that good he needs this haye fight next or soon later this year or early next year

Kell Brook has a win over a very good Shawn Porter and is having a hard time getting the other top guys at 147 to step in the ring with him.
Brook is a verry good boxer and has power as well hes the complete package.
Jushua could be the same as a heavyweight. Only thing we dont know is if he can go 12 rounds.

A very raw and one dimensional version made a big step up before he was technically ready or experienced enough to do so and lost in a close fight to a guy who is now a world champion. He has improved tremendously since then in every department and I think he'd beat Saunders comfortably in a rematch. He is clearly a world level fighter and will win a world title soon.

Kell Brook doesn't get to pick mandatories, that's the IBF. Both Dan and Bizier were mandatory opponents who he had to fight. Only Gavin was a voluntary and it was a late decision for a stay busy fight instead of sitting out for 6 months.
How anyone can be a fan of an eubank is beyond me the guys is a prick and an idiot.

You cant even compare that! Tyson took a beating from lennox and look at his face at the end of the fight. Tyson was way past his prime and he still tokk serious punishment. You cant call Tyson in the same sentence as Martin thats ridiculous.

            • Congratulations for Joshua on the win but my god! Martin was terrible! IBF have turned their belt into a meaningless pile of wank. I'm sure they will be glad of the fight fees though, and the casual fans are all aboard the AJ hype train

On an interview with Radio Raheem, Martin said he felt the referee should have "let it slide", i.e he was hoping the ref would give him some extra time.
Eh, he got up right at ten. The ref should have let the fight continue and we wouldn't be having these discussions. Martin could have continued. No one argues that.

The ref can call off the fight at anytime.

Why let the fight go on?

With over a minute to go in the round and the ref could see in his eyes.

Next knock down could have laid him out cold.

We learned nothing from this - Martin was an unknown quantity coming in because he's not beaten anyone. His record is relatively meaningless just like AJ's

The hype surrounding this guy in the UK is plain disgusting:
                    copied from a bbc article
"Joshua joins Ali in history books"
"While nobody has won a world heavyweight title faster than Spinks, Joshua surpasses Ali (20 fights), Lennox Lewis (22) and Mike Tyson (28)."

The casual boxing public in the UK are ******s and will buy anything the media tells them - Pretty sure David price was knocking out people like this a few years ago.... that went well

anyone actually think AJ deserved his olympic gold medal? In London of all places?
I'm not quite sure why you're so upset. You'll find the vast majority of people in the UK have a good enough grasp of the English language to interpret what was being said in the article. At no point did they try to say Joshua is anywhere near as great, they simply said that he has joined Ali and others in small list of Heavyweights who have quickly won a world title nothing more. He is simply following in the footsteps of the greats, but is by no means even close to great, yet.

Also secondly, Joshua himself hasn't been "holding it up like it means something" I mean he literally said in the post fight presser "I'm a quarter of the way there.... I gotta put this away with the Gold medal and keep working" or words to that effect.

Cmon give the guy a break, he just literally won a title, granted it was cheaply won, but he's got to be one of the most humble HW champs in recent history so I'm sure we can cut him some slack. The IBF are the ones to blame here for putting him in this position, If they hadn't stripped Fury I think he wouldn't be challenging for a title until 2017. Martin was just ripe for the taking, you can't blame Joshua given the circumstances.

The time will come when we see Joshua tested with a live opponent, we just gotta give it time, because the fact of the matter is, he is still very green and has a lot to learn.
