Yes, James Toney and Floyd Mayweather are mirror images of each other. Yes because the fight behind the shoulder, yes beause the fight in the pocket with counter uppercuts yes because they pull counter, yes because they both duck below the waist, yes because they are both lightning fast.

Yes Floyd was more conservative, and prefered to slow down the pace, yes Toney liked to fight a bit more. Yes Toneys defense was close to as good as Floyds was.

No Toney didn't always come in shape, yes his skills and fundamentals carried him through fights he had no position being in the ring in. Cough cough Vasily Jirov.

Everyone always things of the fat old Toney, nobody remember Toney at 160lb, YES HE WAS AT 160lb ONCE!

    And he was a beast.

Difference between him and Floyd is Toney wasn't as patient. Floyd could have gotten him to follow him, but from there seeing them fight in the pocket it would have been anyones game. Toney actually has the upper hand in lateral movement on the inside over Floyd. He was much better at working around guys that Floyd was. Floyd throws his piece and gets out. Toney worked around guys brilliantly.
If you think James Toney and Floyd Mayweather are alike as fighters then I suggest to you to consider revising.

Oh I remember Toney at 160 very well. That's the James Toney that was soundly beaten by Dave Tiberi. Got his ears boxed off by Reggie Johnson and struggled to beat Merqui Sosa.

Rigondeaux another runner. Floyd and Rigondeaux should thank their opponents for going after them, otherwise no fight will happen. Just imagine if they fought someone with the same style. Run, grab, push, ref breaks. Boring.

Far from a ROBBERY though. Far from ROBBED BLIND.
One one guy clearly wins, if its by 1 rounds or 2 or 3
and the scores are 116-110 against him, that is robbery.

Its not like they were posting 115-114 scores.

James Toney and Roy Jones showed magic with their reflexes and skills. No need to run and grab and be boring like Floyd and Rigondeaux.

In my opinion, Rigo is better than Floyd! Offense and defense.

Erm, no that's not a robbery.

Close fight that could have gone either way = Not a robbery.

                Basic common sense.

If you want to see a robbery go and watch 160 POUND TONEY get soundly beaten by Dave Tiberi.

If Floyd hadn't repeatedly ducked Khan and in fact fought him and beat him, then maybe he'd have a shout to be in the top 15 best of the last 25 years but Khan should be placed above Mayweather by default because of the fact that Mayweather undeniably ducked him several times for fear of losing, as we all know but some will undoubtedly try to kid themselves into a state of denial.

Its really obvious that you dont understand boxing , get in the ring which is a very small place and try and not get hit yet still beat a fighter of Mannys calibre .

You people make me laugh you think its so easy when its the hardest thing in the world to do , whats easy is to have a big punch and hope you land it but to shut down a truck load of great fighters and beat them in the process is incredibly hard to do , the science of boxing is beautiful when executed at the highest level .

What is obvious is your blind bias for Floyd. Marquez and Bradley fought Pacquiao back.pedalling all the way, but they fought. When Manny punched they defended - without the grabbing that is STANDARD for Floyd. In the second fight Bradley grabbed Manny's head during a Manny Flurry - one time. Floyd? Most of the time. When Marquez and Bradley punch they are susceptible to counters. Floyd punches and then holds so no counter. Boring. Not great. Whitaker was sweet with his defense. RJJ awesome with his speed. Toney with his roll and counters. Floyd had speed and precision but had to hold when punched and after punching. Not great at all, not a fair fighter, and boring.
