Lol @ thinking Roy should have gotten this. It's quite clearly between Mayweather and Pacquiao. Holyfield has the next claim after them.

Only loss Jones had under the age of 35 is a dq loss

I like both equally but I have never seen a fighter before or since dominate world class fighters and hall of famers like a prime Roy Jones...not even Floyd
There honestly is no way for Roy to rank ahead of Mayweather

everybody grew a pair when Roy was 35 and up..when he was 34 and younger, dancing, going years without even losing a round...where was Hopkins(overpricing himself knowing 50/50 was a joke considering roy beat him clearly and was the champ at 175) and Calzaghe stayed at 168 fighting until he was past prime

Hopkins was is a great fighter...but prime for prime....Jones was considerably ahead of him

depends on what you are looking for...I definitely wouldnt have rated Hopkins or Pacquiao over Jones....Jones was very dominant in his prime and these guys took loses prime and after....all roys losses are after his 35th birthday...do people penalize Ezzard Charles or Robinson for this fact?

I judge fighters by their prime...If we counted losses past 35 or back in the day past 30 against them, the entire p4p or atg list would be entirely different.

Ezzard charles has under ten loses when he lost the heavyweight title to Jersey Joe but ended with 25 loses....I think after the fighter hasnt been active and his generation passes, they are usually looked at in the proper prospective.

i.e. Larry Holmes wasnt considered a top 5 heavyweight by most in the 80s or even 90s, now he is a concensus top 5 or most times 3

Roy in his prime is hands down the best fighter of the last 25 years. What they (ESPN) are basically doing is punishing him for fighting way past his prime.. in which case it makes sense to put Floyd #1.
