I don't think anybody with any common sense could disagree, except fans of a certain fighter who are still depressed.

I could see a case for Roy Jones at his peak though but for an overall career, going 19 years undefeated and still being on top at nearly 40, i'd have to say Floyd deserves it.

I like both equally but I have never seen a fighter before or since dominate world class fighters and hall of famers like a prime Roy Jones...not even Floyd
Floyd Mayweather is the greatest fighter of his generation and a top 10 ATG.

With that being said no one that has ever laced up boxing gloves is better than Roy Jones Jr. in his prime. No one.

why would you put him in front of floyd?
I think Roy in his prime was the superior physical specimen. He also accomplished a lot. Yes Floyd was technically better and fought and beat the better opposition. I'm not against them choosing Floyd whatsoever but if we're talking p4p Roy MIGHT have been better.

agreed. roy in his prime ... i remember it like yesterday when i was a kid racing up to my buddies house to watch him fight james toney, roy was scary in his prime.

only thing that was a knock on him during his prime years was that haircut .. what was that line on the back of his head he used to keep?
