I won't be surprised if Joshua does take Martin out like a prime Mike Tyson.

I will because AJ isn't nearly as explosive, fast and powerful as Mike was.

That would be some statement if he won the belt like Mike.

Charles Martin KO1 over glass jawed Anthony Joshua. First clean shot Martin lands is going to stretch Joshua out!

This weekend will see the emergence of the future best heavyweight in the world...I'm curious what the trolls will have to say when joshua simply overpowers Martin inside 5 rounds

You think that slow and highly predictable boxer Martin will land on Joshua?

They'll probably say Martin was never very good to begin with, which would be 100% true. Guy's slow, no footwork, no boxing brain, no real skill. Just a big guy with half-decent power (although he's fought no1 of note) and happens to be a southpaw. He basically got handed a paper title on a plate. Joshua winning this fight won't be especially impressive TBH. Martin isn't nearly as good as 2nd/3rd tier HWs from the 90s/early 00s, guys like Golota, Tommy Morrison, Michael Grant. Nothing about him stands out.

I think the buildup to this fight will be remembered for AJ completely stepping out from his 'stay humble' BS. Comparing himself to Tyson, talking trash at Fury (when previously he'd been all 'I respect the champ'), predicting an early KO etc. His ego has truly taken off.

You say that like Joshua's Willie Pep. He's not looked especially elusive in any of his fights. He's big and stiff like Frank Bruno. Hitting him is not a problem, withstanding his power when you get caught in the pocket is.
