That is nonsense!! Mike at his best would have knocked out all of the best heavyweights in history with ease, as he proved when he knocked out the great Larry Holmes.

If it were not for his personal issues and demons he would have rated as the number one heavyweight in boxing history.

They only opponent that could beat him at his best was himself, Mike Tyson

Tyson certainly was a hype job, but neither was Ali. Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight ever in my opinion, but Ali fought the best comp. No way was he a hype job.

Mike Tyson was the greatest boxer who ever lived to me back then when he was beating spinks, bonecrusher smith, tubbs and tucker etc etc.
I didn't think there had been anyone like him, I couldn't imagine there had been but I was young back then in school and didn't know boxing history.
To me there was no arguments that he was the best

And would have remained the best, if he had not become a drug- head, married that corrupt thieving first wife or fallen into the clutches of that corrupt thief Don King.

As a man-child, he really needed an authoritative father figure to guide him, not a lot of fawning yes-men, who were vultures that waited around to take a bite off a piece of his flesh.

Holifield would not have last even one round in the ring round with Mike before all the above took away his true greatness.

He deserves a place as one of the greatest boxers in, not all this vile pointed at him. He was an enormously gifted and powerful young boxer, who had serious character problems, but please don't compare him with mediocre Evander Holifield.

When he fought Holifield he was a spent force, not even a shadow of his former self or greatness as an awesome boxer he was.

Guys give him some slack, please.
