Comments Thread For: Roach on Pacquiao-Canelo: Let's See How Khan Does

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum recently floated the idea of eight division champion Manny Pacquiao facing Canelo Alvarez in the fall. However there are several hurdles that must be addressed before such a mega-fight could occur.

Arum never wants to let go of his cash cow.

You ain't lying. He's in a weird place. With the power shifting and divided between him Oscar and Haymon, it's the first time that I recall him not having the next superstar to pass the torch to. Maybe he's holding on until one of his other guys really blows up. That's why he was going so hard to sign Andre Ward.

Yeah but cotto is a different style of fighter. He's more of a basic boxer. Uses his jab, basic 1 2 3 combos. Khan and pac are more similar in that they are awkward use speed, dart in and out. With that being said, Canelo kos khan and probably kos this washed up version of pac. The version of pac that washed Margarito lights Canelo up but that guy doesn't exist anymore. TE=boxingitis;16587458]You already saw how Cotto did.[/QUOTE]

I doubt Roach lets it happen at 155

Only way I can see him letting go of Pac Man is if he puts Pac against Crawford. If Crawford wins, Arum may have his new cash cow.

This is utter bull****..... Bob Arum, Freddie Roach, and Manny Pacquiao ALL know 100% that there is NO chance whatsoever that they will ever fight Canelo.

This is a classic example of the contrived bull**** that follows that camp.

                Heard it all before.

Bull****, they would not fight Sergio Martinez at 150, no way Pac goes anywhere near Canelo.

And the " old version " of Manny is exactly the same as this version, he just throws less punches so cannot overwhelm his opposition.

But they would not even match that " version " of Pac with Martinez.
