Do you think Oleg Maskaev deserves a shot a Rahman?

We all know he KOed Rahman but thats the hardest competition hes faced besides Tua in 97'. The guy is old for a boxer at 37 years and has probley already run most of his gas out.

I dont know, I dont think hes going to KO Rahman this time. I also dont think Rahman is all that great himself. As far as im concerned his career consist of losing to Holyfield, Lewis, Ruiz, Maskeav, and Tua. All great boxers at their respected time but most were past their prime.

I forgot his career wins over Monte Barret by UD and a older Lewis by KO are also his highlight.

Neither really seems like a champion IMO, but Rahman seems like the better man for one hes younger and two faced tougher competition. Only time will tell...

    Feel free to critisize.

I think I'm going to go and bet against Rahman for this fight.

Another question is does Rahman really deserve to be the title holder?

            My opinion is NO!

neither rahman nor maskaev deserve a title shot. both did the same thing: beat a bunch of nobodies after a losing streak and both get an undeserving title shot.

No way does Maskaev deserve a shot. The WBC is the only sanctioning body that even has Maskaev ranked and *********.com has him ranked 15th overall. Not enough in my book to warrant a mandatory status.

I agree 100%. Problem is I bet he beats Rahman.

he probably doesnt,,,,but his fight with sinal sam or whatever the hell his name is was an elimnator so thats how he got his shot. I think rahman will probably knock him out this time. I think they've both slipped since they last fought but maskeav has slipped further. who can forget just how easy he crumbled to mount whitaker aka goofi. that kirk johnson fight really damaged him and his chin has looked like silly puddy ever since
