It's interesting. I've seen nothing from Martin to suggest he has any great skills either but a lot of people who have sparred him said he is much better than people realise. I hope so.

I hope he knocks Joshua into next week to be honest. I've got nothing against Joshua but i can't stomach the media here in the UK, the way they will be treat Joshua like a hero and acting like he'll have beaten Sonny Liston or something, not a guy who won a paper title via leg injury.
Totally agree. I dont understand the hype. Ok an olympic gold medalist just kod a no hoper bum in front of a huge crowd who is elated by this for some reason. Very bizarre. Im rooting for Martin.

      He can.

Martin comes from the American school, where skill and slickness are taught.

Joshua ust has a big punch

Martin has speed, skill, slickness, defence, power, stamina, the total package

      Martin by brutal KO

He really does look more like a bodybuilder than a boxer.

He looked absolutely gassed against Whyte, but Whyte was too so it was ok. It was like Auschwitz in the ring that night with all that gassing... (i have family who were gassed there, so i can joke )
Still not right though. Respect the deceased bro.

Joshua has the sort of robotic style that would be open to a southpaw left hand. Martin should come out swinging. He'll have to earn some respect like Whyte got in the 2nd and then keep Joshua on the outside and just break him down with the left hand.

you know what i find interesting is that most the sky sports pundits have played down the fact that he got wobbled really badly by whyte in the seco nd round of that fight,
however froch has said hes a bit worried for AJ against martin,
froch is the only on i can clearly see who said AJ got rocked to his boots...

maybe they all buying into the hype...

Haha you might think i'm joking but can anybody honestly say Joshua's first 15-16 fights were against better opposition than Harrison's? I don't think it's any better. Infact Harrison's 15th or 16th fight was against an undefeated Tomasz Bonin. He wasn't great but was no worse than any of Joshua's opponents.

Audley was massively hyped too at the time, had a good undefeated run of about 19 or 20 fights, Olympic gold medalist.

Joshua is even more hyped than Harrison was and has hardly fought anybody yet, because social media and youtube and all these play a big part in giving fighters more exposure.

I've honestly seen nothing in Joshua yet that suggests he's "the future of the heavyweight division", nothing at all. I'm not saying he won't be or he will be, i have nothing against him, but it seems the media and public have already made their mind up that he is without him even fighting a decent fighter. It's very strange. His career could go exactly the same way Audley's did, there's just as much chance as that then there is he will become a top heavyweight. He hasn't done anything.
