Rigondeaux is undefeated, got a great amateur background and he defeated Donaire. That's all good, but not enough to be a top 5 P4P guy. The thing is, if he were to fight Carl Frampton and beat him, his resume would suddenly be so much more solid, he would without doubt belong among the top 5 P4P fighters. If he were to take it even further and move up to beat guys like Lomachenko and especially Walters, he would be P4P #2 (the Ward-Kovalev winner should still be #1). He is small and old, but what do you think? Time is ticking, but should he take those dangerous fights? They would take his legacy to an all new level. How would you rate him if he defeated both Frampton, Lomachenko and Walters?
Rigonndeaux: Time is ticking

Time has already ticked by on his prime.
We've never seen prime Rigo in a pro ring, what we have seen is the slightly past prime years of a special talent. What he did to Donaire was a glimpse of that talent, utterly taking apart a guy regarded as a top 3 P4P fighter at the time.
Sadly, nobody wanted to fight him. He's been avoided and had to fight anyone willing to get in the ring, including going to Japan for fights. It's hard to put together a great resume when the fighters that could make your resume great want no part of you.Comment

I'm done with Rigo. Once that Visa situation happened I was threw with him. When he gets serious about his career so will IComment

It's sad, because he is really insanely talented, but he seems to lack motivation. But he got a fragile jaw, so I understand if he at this age is losing his interest in fighting... But man, just fight Frampton first, that's the least he could do for his fans. His fans are not many, but they are loyal.Comment

Exactly, but if he were to beat Walters, it would be such a huge feat that I would consider it one of the best in boxing history.Comment
