Easy for you to say from your couch. But the most damage is usually done when a guy is out on his feet but still standing. Safety comes before the bloodlust of fans. These guys are human beingsComment

Nah, this **** is running rampant (especially in the PBC) I had Broner by decision Friday night, because I've seen Theophane get his head beat in, lunch money taken, and still not go down. But with this fight, once he got buzzed Luis Pabon was tryna stop the violence, smh.Comment

Didn't you see the freaking hand wave by Ashley???? The only reason why the ref stopped the fight so quickly is because he assumed Ashley tried to tell him he didn't want to fight anymore. It was a ****** move by Ashley if he wanted to continue. He didn't give the ref any other options so the ref did the right thing and stopped the fight.Comment

I actually did miss that not gonna lie but my point stands strong maybe not so much in this case but in boxing in general they need to lets these dudes go out on their shield....Didn't you see the freaking hand wave by Ashley???? It was a bad stoppage, the blow before he stopped was low.
He should have had time to recover from the low blow.
The last 2 Broner fights were suspect (stoppages), PBC has a lot of stoppages for their fighters, builds up the KO record.Comment

This can't be on Al .....he got both sides....Comment

It's tricky because on one hand it would be nice if there was a universal sign of stoppage that all fighters could use. But on the other, fighters don't want people to know that they are done.
So maybe it's the best of both worlds here. The fighter was done, he told the ref as such, but he can still pretend that it was a BS stoppage.Comment

I didn't even see the fight yet, just saw the clip now. That was clearly Theophane anticipating that the ref would call the low blow and give him time to recover because the low blow was so obvious and self-evident. He was assuming Broner would stop and apologise for it and that the ref would pause the action. Can't see how the ref could have possibly missed that low blow, judging by that footage there that's stoppage is so bad that the ref should probably be suspended.Comment

I only saw from the 7th round and I would have guessed theophane was ahead on points from what I was seeing.
But the fact broner was ahead on points and the other guy weren't going to ko broner the stoppage is easier to digestComment
