Another reason Saunders isn't looking to fight GGG anytime soon

Floyd saying that Golovkin has "no special effects" was the vocalization of something that's seemingly been floating around in gyms since he fought Gabriel Rosado.
All the press obligations aren't going to be helpful (Golovkin's already got the weight handled anyway), but sleeping on the fact that, in Wade, Golovkin is facing off against a younger, bigger man who moves his head (the feet moving less so) and is said to have solid pop in both hands, likely is gonna cause him more trouble than expected.
If Wade can actually fight, this is seemingly set up as a trap for Golovkin, imoComment

This thread essentially boils down to...
"Fighter I don't want to get brutally knocked out by Golovkin, heres a pseudo-excuse so you can avoid getting brutally knocked out by Golovkin."Comment

It boils down to why would I fight GGG (Ward) when I can fight Eubank Jr (Froch) and make more money and have a better chance of winning. He's taking the GGG risk vs. reward routeComment

Are you Saunders or a boxing fan?
Stop using other crap to justify this for Saunders.
With the "business man" bs you're spewing you would seem to be Saunders or someone who cares very deeply for his health.
We know why he wants the other fight. Saunders should want to take the label of paper champ off of himself. Then again, he is british. Paper comes with the territory.
And you should want the better fight.
If you aren't Saunders himself of course.Comment

He turned down 1.5 MM to face Lil G. Dude is scared, nothing more to it.I'm pointing out the simple business of boxing. Seems like GGG fans boys think every boxer in the MW division should do what's best for GGG's career instead of what's best for their own. If GGG wants a big fight he gotta take a risk just like all other fighters have done and are doing. Or he'll be sitting there with the WBC belt fighting Heiland as his first defense. Gotta be willing to sacrifice to make the big fights. Kovalev gets the big fights because he doesn't care where he has to fight and he'll take the short money just to beat your ass in front of your fans.Comment

Yet to date, he has never fought anyone at 168. Kind of like how Ward says he'd beat a Klitschko but needs 25 tuneups to fight Kovalev.Comment

I get what you are saying, but it is kind of ridiculous that Saunders would get more money fighting Eubank Jr. than GGG. The purse should be more proportional to the risk, I want to see the GGG-Saunders fight but if you can take the easier option for more money, not just comparable money but more then that's probably what every fighter is going to do.Comment
