    Interesting.

first fight was relatively competetive but floyd was already quite a bit past prime at that point and his movement was not what it used to be. Due to that he had to fight Maidana in the pocket which is Maidanas game but Floyd still beat him at his own game and I don't think it took too much out of him.
But you are acknowledging that the fight took something out of him. So TS is half right.

This wasn't an Ali/Frazier or the numerous battles between Pac/JMM.
yep. nonstop clinching and kenny bayless=improvement. guess who was ref for floyd-pac? he came prepared.

No, Maidana didn't landed cleanly enough, he was too inconsistent. Only thing that showed was age but we already knew he was slowing.

Not really. More his age. The guy was almost 40 years old and was still at the top of the sport. Quite remarkable really.

At one point, earlier after the first bout, people would say Floyd carried Chino to literally make it entertaining. I thought that was silly, and thought Floyd only did it to prove he could do what Broner couldn't. I'm starting to think Floyd might have chosen this series for the easy wins. As unorthodox Chino can be, it's not enough to beat Floyd, or at least not that style.
