It must've been psychologically difficult to fight such a great fighter as Pacquiao without knowing how great he was beforehand. Reminds me of when Salvador Sanchez fought Azumah Nelson.

Arguably the biggest win of Pac's career.

His previous fights were hard and took a lot out of him. 2001 Barrera beats Pacquiao easily, just like Morales did before he turned to mush too.
Im a huge Barrera fan. No way he ever beat Pac. He's too vulnerable to those fast straight punches. MAB was a well rounded foghter, but he lived off his left hand. His jab, his hook, his uppercut.

Against Manny it's so damn hard to be effective unless your foundation is your right hand. He just moves too well and is too dangerous with his straight left. In the Morales, Marquez, May losses it was the right hand thst did him in.

I watched it live and loved every minute of it....I was a big erik morales fan back then and he took his undefeated record.

I saw Manny fight before this but I didnt think he'd run through barrera like that.

They put him on a pedestal after he beat NAZ, yet people didnt want to give naz his props at the time....Naz was his biggest win...undefeated top 5 p4p guy

anyway as the rounds wore on, I started to feel bad for barrera. You rarely see an elite fighter take beating like that

Barrera was trying to box but he had no chance. If he had the fire he had vs Morales, he'd have fared better.

That is one advantage Marco did not have over the others. True.
