Nahh! There wondering how GGG fans can call Canelo a ducker when GGG flat out ducked Ward! Ward moved up to fight Kov. When is Lil G gonna move up??? He weighs 172? And fights at 160. The WORST divison in boxing right now.
Ward has flat out called GGG I *****! And even ran into him live. GGG said his English not soo good. Ward a very good boxer, one of the best. Sanchez and Loeffler almost cashed checks GGG wouldn't be able to back up.EVERYONE knows Ward would of beat GGG and made him look ******. Sht Andre Dirrell and GGG went 1-1 against each other and BOTH times could of went either way..
Reason why Monroe was a bigger star then Lara.. Lol! GGG has NEVER even fought a boxer close to Lara as a proLast edited by Shadoww702; 04-03-2016, 01:50 PM.Comment

Obviously your gonna weigh more when not in training. You can eat what you want and don't have to worry about sht.
Training SUKS! And the food is TERRIBLE!!! Half the time you can't even have sex...no sex, TERRIBLE food, makes a person PISSED-OFF and perfect for fightingComment

This is before any weight cutting/draining. Walk around weight is the weight between fights. Not sure what the difference is between weight cutting & draining. I just know virtually no one is fighting at what they walk around at. Thats the problem. Thats whats unhealthy. I think the fact that its rare that boxers at HW get severely injured or killed in the ring despite everyone being able to punch hard basically is some of the proof that weight loss can have negative impact on ones brain being able to absorb punishment.
I'll give an example in my case, my peak fighting weight is about 170-174 lb's. When taking it easy i.e walk around weight, I would be about 183 lb's(and this is very dependent on an individuals habits outside of fights). The division I'd cut to would be super middleweight.
If fights were real close together you could maintain relatively close to peak by easing off before picking up again to make it your "walk around weight". Otherwise why do that to yourself if you're gonna fight only 2-3 times a year. So yea, you don't fight at your walk around/leisure weight.
This is my experience. Apparently Mayweather walks around 147-150, if we go by what he tells us.Last edited by SplitSecond; 04-03-2016, 01:53 PM.Comment

It's hard to make jokes on NSB. People always have their guard up and think you have some ulterior motive.Comment

I'm not sure what exactly you are saying. Are you saying fighting at your walking around weight is bad? This is before any weight cutting/draining. Walk around weight is the weight between fights.

I guess I can better define what I'm talking about by saying I think combat sport athletes should fight at their natural healthy weight. I think that would be safer for combat sports & healthier for athletes bodies. How you go about determining that is open for discussion, but I do believe there is a weight range that could be narrowed down to compete at with the science available to us these days when a fighter is getting his license. Maybe do something BMI-like, but with more factors to better determine hydration levels & other things that better define what a good natural weight for a fighter would be.Comment
canelo like "see that's what happens when you move up" (and fight a guy your own size)
