  • Comments Thread For: Theophane: Bad Stoppage, Adrien Broner Was Getting Tired

I thought the stoppage was premature because I thought I was in the fight. Me and Broner were going at it. It looked like he was starting to get tired because he started to move around and wasn't able to stay there with me as much.

I agree with Theopane, if you saw the fight Broner was on the decline. Theopane got hurt early in the fight but survived. He was on his way to surviving again, and the fight was 4-4 in my eyes. Theopane was stopped because of lack of communication, the ref thought Theo signaled to stop the fight but he didn't.

Theophane is right, stoppage was garbage. You could tell Broner was getting tired. Man he is a C-level fighter, but Theophane isn't any better. The rest of Broner's career if he even has one will be filled with fighting fighters of Theophane's level. When he steps up he'll just get beat again

srsly one of the worst things a fighter can hear is, "And your referee, Luis Pabon..."

It's unfortunate that there was a low blow and confusion, but Theo has crap ring IQ and failed to communicate with the ref verbally, or through body language. He earned what he got. Broner was getting tired but I knew Theo would inevitably throw this one away. I mean, how could you not adapt when your opponent starts throwing 90% uppercuts???
