I think the power differentiation was the major factor in this fight. Adrien ate a lot of head shots but Theophane was unable to capitalize on it due to his lack of punching power. It's a good thing he was not a huge puncher because Broner could have been in a lot of trouble.

Moreover, I see Adrien regressing a lot. There was a time when it was almost next to impossible to land clean head punches on him. Not even Paulie Malignaggi with all his hand speed could consistently land punches to Broner's head. Most of the shots he landed against Broner were to the body since Broner doesn't move his feet very well, while making it to appear that he's fighting in cement in the process.

Adrien is no longer moving his head like he used to. Thereby, making him more vulnerable, susceptible and an easier to target to his head; Which could pose serious match up problems if he ever decides to challenge Danny Swift for his welterweight title.

        Broner and head movement?
Unless you're using the words "has" and "no" in between, should never be used together within any sort of proximity.
