Why is Pacquiao height and reach ignored when looking at his greatness?

Manny deserves much more credit for fighting bigger fighters and I have major respect for the guy.
I totally agree with this. When I hear people say "He won but he fought the guy at a CW", it's like they're assuming that if the fighters weren't fighting at a CW that Manny wouldn't beat them. That's just ******. The guy was 5'5 and did some amazing things against taller opponents. Cotto for example. Sure Cotto would have had a better showing if he fought at 147 as opposed to 145, but would he have beaten Pacquiao? Hell No. The weight wasn't the reason he lost, same goes with De La Hoya.

Because people primarily evaluate what was accomplished and the level of skill when measuring greatness.

Should accomplished fighters with average jaws get extra credit? What about guys with moderate speed? Glass hands?

You obviously dont understand what a massive handicap being drained is , Oscar was the worst case of a dehydrated fighter Ive ever seen and you think it dont matter that Manny out weighed him because Oscar was taller , you Manny fans are something else no freaking idea about boxing all you know is what is right in front of your face , the why did that happen you have no idea .

Because guys like you won't consider it fair unless Pac jumps 3 classes above his best weight. Calm down and come back and have a conversation when you're ready to act like an adult.

"You Manny fans" lolololol... My detractors need to get together and figure out if I'm a floydiot or pactrd. I'm tired of being called both. Lol

This is exactly right. Pacquiao could probably fight at 135 or 140 but if he chooses to fight as a welterweight then fans will judge him as a welterweight. You shouldn't worry about Pacquiao. He will go down in history as a great fighter.

Cant you even work it out looking at the pics guys posted , look at his fight night weights lol , as a LW he is weighing 144 as a WW he is weighing 144-151 .

Weight classes sound great dont they , until you figure your not much smaller and if you can CW the guy down you have the advantage , why the fck you think he wants all these CWs if it dont mean nothing only suckers believe the level playing field BS the CW is a big handicap , your too big Cotto you must come down , your too quick Juan you must come up , Old Mosley is ok at 147 after he got beat twice , when he KOd Margo Manny would not go near him from 142-147 , then once the CWing guys down in weight was all over Manny starts bring JWs up to WW while he ducks every WW calling him out .

Fck off with your BS buddy , and learn boxing and what these weight clauses really mean to the opponent because Manny is not doing it for fun , an elite fighter with a man made to order resume built of the back of match making , from 140 up its all match making and cherry picking .
