    Who knows which side is telling the truth. I'm not ready to just accept anything Walters says either. As they say, the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.

      These mini boxers need to stop making obscene demands.

      Walters is a beast, but he's a nobody. Loma vs Walters probably does slightly more in ratings than Loma vs anyone else. He should be happy Loma is even willing to fight him.

      These fighters are delusional, I'm happy hbo is putting there foot down with these fighters.

      This **** has been going on too much. Both hbo and Showtime need to stop this overpaying nonsense, especially now that neither have PPV stars.

        Would HBO put up more money for Lomachenko-Martinez?

        If so, this fight would make some sense on this card, especially with HBO televsing Vargas-Salido for another 130 belt the week before.

        Lomachenko-Walters could always be there down the road, if Lomachenko wins the title and defends it against Walters.

            I wonder if this explains why Martinez "got injured" and pulled out of fighting Berchelt in Mexico?

              Damn I really wish we were getting Walters/Loma but if Walters is gonna keep dragging his feet in negotiations then it is better to keep Loma busy.

              War Loma!!!

                This is the problem with the current state of boxing. Ignorant fans see a lot of wins and no losses on a record and automatically think a fighter is exceptional.
                An unbeaten record means nothing unless you've fought anybody decent.
                Look at all the Haymon hype jobs who had no losses until they took on someone half decent and got destroyed. I know the promoters who build padded records by matching their fighters against weak competition think they are doing them a favor by attracting attention from fans who think a 0 in the loss column automatically equals greatness but they are creating untested and unprepared contenders who are really prospects in disguise that generally get destroyed when they go from fighting bums to legitimate challengers and sometimes even more experienced journeymen types because they haven't learned enough along the way.

                    You're forgetting one thing;

                    Beyond all your hype and hope for the guy, he lost to Salido.

                    Reality is a hard pill.

                      You said it was a lie on Loma's side. I respect you dude so it's nothing against you but Loma is a real fighter. At least so far, he doesn't seem like the type that would be influenced by $$$ compared to majority of boxers. He comes off as someone that actually wants to be great. It's rare in this age of boxing.
