It's rare in this age of boxing.
    I got the impression it was more his mgt than the guy himself. I totally respect your opinion and I really don't have anything against or for Loma. I just see a disproportionate amount of hype toward Loma in general (from the fans, not you) and I tend to lean against that so I'm, admittedly, probably being a bit critical just to balance it all out. I do see a lot of skill in him.

    BTW, here's the thread I referenced to earlier;

        It makes sense. More money, more homey, much better than a hot night in ol' Mejico. Berchelt is going to have a hard time finding a name to go into Mexico. George Jupp was not an accident, he was the opponent all the time (low pay). Now Mexico has another champion and Martinez can pursue other offers. Everybody is happy.

          I'm with you. Salido still gets respect , and that win will be a trophy on his mantle piece. Juanma , Loma, and next up Vargas. 59 13 2 and still mean as a snake

            Salido came weighing as a welterweight and resorted to low blows and dirty tactics all night

            he was the worst possible style of opponent for an amateur star like Loma in only his 2nd pro bout, because he's the exact kind of opponent that you DONT find in the amateurs (dirty brawler)

            Loma still adapted in the last rounds and was close to knocking Salidos' ass out, which would be the certain outcome if there's a rematch

              If you ever posted anything worth intelligent or worth reading I might muster a thorough reply but briefly just say, Salido is *meh* and Loma has had 4 fights since then. lol "Only his 2nd pro fight". Sorry to crush your dreams, don't take it personally.

                No point trying to argue with trolls.

                  Exactly! How many fighters in HISTORY have fought a world champion in their second pro fight???? Let alone come in at a disadvantage in weight and STILL be the one who was coming on strong in the 12th round when the seasoned pro is supposed to be the one with the late stamina!! Lom gained a hell of a lot of fans doing what no boxer in history has attempted.

                    A good fight but Rocky only wins a couple early rounds.

                      But if he wants to continue to play hardball and derail his career then that's on him.
                      bob can get walters a title shot just as easy tho...so he really dont have to bow down to lomo...and it is a shame that ppl make it out to be that..im tired of seeing black fighters treated like that..how in the *** is lomo making 650k not bring anyone to the house? he is great..love wat he does in the ring, but u ppl are blinded by this going on way to much..it is becoming acceptable to tell the black fighter he is ducking he doesnt get paid..bob should be promoting his fighters and putting money up andim sure walters would love to take the ring with lomo....lomo will be the contender and wont ask for as much money as he did for wlaters in this fight im sure but nobody will mention that..
