Whitaker was very defensive..why didnt he fight till his late 30's?why did no other defensive fighter other then a handful make it to their late 30's and remain on top?? and why was Floyd the only one to remain undefeated while fighting the most top fighters?

Whitaker was a defensive master, but dude wasn't afraid to get dirty and mix it up and take shots. Plus he wasn't as much a defensive counter like Floyd, which with that style keeps Floyd in a defensive posture much long during a fight. That plus his ******* habit ruined his career as far as being able to go as long as Floyd.
