I'm a bit late to the party here, but oh well. While I certainly agree that GGG belongs nowhere near a top 25 list, if we are talking accomplishments. A p4p list is'nt all about accomplishments. If this were a list of the best fighters of the last 25 years, I would be laughing right along with most of the other folks in this thread. Larry would of been spot on with the list he posted, if we were talking straight up accomplishments, outside of Vargas, who I'll certainly give credit for the Winky win, but the Quartey win is a joke. Anyone actually paying attention then knows that Ike was a shadow of his former self at that point. Anyways. A p4p list is more about fantasy matchups if guys could be made the same size. Larry's list gets a lot more interesting at that point. Outside of Roy, Toney, B-Hop, Floyd and Sweet Pea, I would pick GGG to beat all those guys, prime versus prime. The guy who said GGG was better at middleweight than Roy, Toney and B-Hop needs the taste smacked out of his mouth. Thats my two cents.

P4P is about the most skilled fighter. Accomplishments/Resume should be the #1 factor when determining P4P. A guy looking great against C-level fighter shouldn't get ranked above a guy looking good against A-B level fighters. How can you pick GGG to beat all of those guys when you've never seen him against elite competition but you've seen them beat elite competition?

But GGG doesn't have any hiccups against the 'C-level opponents'. He doesn't have Mauricio Herrera and Ashley Theopane moments, or Ricardo Mayorga moments, or Harry Simon moments.

The fact that he's able to make those weaker opponents look so below his level allows us to make better estimation on how he would do against the so called A-level fighters, or fighters of the past, then someone like, let's say Danny Garcia. Who may have beaten better opponents thus far, but looked terrible against fighters like Mauricio Herrera and Ashley Theopane, to the point where people thought he lost.

You can't find a Golovkin fight where he just eeks out a decision or gets battered from pillar to post to win a controversial decision or gets dropped several times in a fight. Meanwhile, you can find these terrible moments for a lot of these other fighters against 'c-level' competition.

            That can't be ignored.

Show me one where Kovalev eeks out a decision against a C, B, or A level fighter yet he's ranked below GGG.

Well apparently he got dropped by Darnell Boone and the fight went to a split decision. He destroyed Boone easily in a rematch, but that's my point... Golovkin doesn't have those kinds of moments.

If he loses to Dominic Wade or gets dropped and eeks out a decision, you'd have a point, but I haven't seen that happen yet and you know the saying... The greatest predictor of future success is past success.

Boone drops or beats every prospect You not a real fighter unless you've fought Boone.

                    Which is comical.
