Briggs is "wild", but....believe me the man is UNIQUE!
Why are American boxing fans so rubbish?

Exactly! I think Box Ups daddy is probably an American soldier. His whole life his mommy kept telling him daddy was coming back and they would live in the US. This made him giddy thinking he would live in the place all Brits want to live. In his childhood years he bragged to all of his classmates about how he would live in the US. In his teenage years, it became apparent to everyone that it was just a booty call. His classmates teased him unmercifully and the rage inside him boiled. Now he lets a little bit of that rage out everyday on this webpage. To this day, he would allow himself to be castrated if he could only live in the US. Pitiful storyComment

I know this is almost assuredly a troll thread or a NSB Floyd-like character posting or whatever but it annoys the **** outta me how anything Ali was connected with that was bad is ignored or downplayed. Its like he was Cassius Christ or something with how everything Ali did was good & he healed sick people with a touch or some such bs. I loved Ali as kid when I was first learning about & reading about boxing history, but as I got older the Ali worship ended up turning me off on him while still respecting him for his talent & strategic boxing mind.Comment

I find that British fans are too biased when it comes to supporting their local fighters. The kind of bias that is disrespectful. Like booing the national anthem of other fighters and not being a good sport about losing e.g. Riot ensues because Hagler beats Minter:No passion, no loyalty, no education, nothing.
A night at York Hall with 1200 people has a better atmosphere than the MGM Grand with two American fighters contesting with a 18K crowd.
In fact, compare the MGM Grand with the O2 in London. Similar capacity, but NO CONTEST when it comes to atmosphere. You must be so, so, so ashamed of yourselves, and rightly so.
It's so embarrassing for America. The home of the brave? The home of the ****s, more like.
A night out watching American sport is like going to a funeral, it's absolutely DREADFUL.
I can only imagine you cringe with shame every single time the boxing comes on.
