I personally felt what he said was just tactical. "You're not going to take him out to the head, you're going to take him out to the body".
He had hit him with everything to the head, so its just boxing 101 to target the body.

Eubank snr didnt go to the ref.
Sr was screaming at the ref to stop it

Go back and listen to what they were saying. He told his son if you continue beating on this guy he's going to get hurt and the referee is not going to stop it. He said go to the body not because he wanted his son to knock him out, he wanted a quick end to the fight because the referee was a gormless moron. If you listen closely you can also hear some disagreement between Eubank Sr. and his sons trainer, who tells him, "you fight your fight".

Also, disagree with Eubank Jr., you don't need your father to intervene when your eye is damaged as that, and fighting on isn't manly. It's foolish. The referee and Blackwell's trainer let him down that night.

He was yelling telling the ref to stop the fight. He told Jr stop hitting him in the dude in the head cause Nick wasnt gonna quit. So he said well shyt Jr's gotta keep throwing punches but to the body and hope the inept ref will stop it. **** but he couldnt tell him not to throw punches. Not hard to see what Sr was saying. He reeled his son in.

If Chris Eubank Sr was someone he liked, he'd be singing his praise, telling us how wonderful he is, the best person in the world, etc. Instead he's drunk on that moron, Saunders' kool aid (by the way, Jr's punches on Saunders' head, in the second half of the fight, might've been harder that we thought), and all he, and the other detractors can see is what their biased views show them.

What are you 10? I watched the Watson and McClellan fights live at the time and I don't want to see a fight end like that ever again. The ref should have stopped the fight earlier on Saturday and if that makes you want to watch more of men dry humping each other because it's more violent then you crack on.

Welcome to the new generation of "fans". It seems that the more the boxers take punches on the head, the more brain cells these "fans" lose...
