Do fans want Golovkin to lose?

I would love to see Golovkin fight Andre Ward, but I would never demand it from him. The reason is, I like Golovkin. It's understandable that he doesn't want the fight.

Let's be honest. Ward is beating guys bigger than himself, like Kessler and Froch and he will soon beat Kovalev too. Against Golovkin, he would face a guy who is smaller than himself and who doesn't have the skills to do better than Kessler and Froch did. It's a 100% loss for Golovkin if he fights Ward.

Of course people want him to lose

He's polarizing and good for the sport, He has his fanatics who probably want to suck his d.ick and make excuses for everything his team does and his detractors want him to catch a beat down but know it isn't happening with his level of competition.

As for Ward I wanted to see that fight because it would have been the #1 160& 168. I just want to see him face a challenge and not in a fight he's a 130-1 favorite.

It's not Golovkin that's the problem. It's his demented nuthuggers.

        Golovkin is the man.

His fans are over-the-top and it annoys people, so some will want him to lose. I believe the problem was him stating he could beat anyone from 154-168 and then not wanting to fight Ward or move a pound above or below 160.

I agree. Personally, I would like for Golovkin to beat Jacobs and Canelo, as those two are the only opponents worth fighting for him at middleweight. After that, he should move up to 168lbs and just forget Ward, instead concentrating on guys like DeGale and Badou (who both would be very good wins).

Man, STFU, I have noticed that everytime someone are a bit straight on this site, they get labelled as trolls.

If you give Golovkin a chance against Ward, then, if anyone, you should be the one accused of trolling. Golovkin wouldn't even beat Mikkel Kessler and you want to put him up against Ward?

Boxing Xpert...right so, how were Kessler and Froch bigger than Ward?

In terms of just GGG, I'd just like to see him in a competitive fight, win or lose it doesn't affect me. I prefer great fights but it's unlikely GGG would go up to 175 now.

But there is a real possibility, with no Canelo fight in sight, GGG may go up to 168 and fight DeGae/Jack/Dirrel/Groves.

Froch was 2 cm taller than Ward and had a massive 11 cm reach advantage.
Kessler was 2 cm taller than Ward and had a 8 cm reach advantage.

Ward, though, is 4 cm taller than Golovkin and got a 2 cm longer reach.
