Duran was 1-2 vs. SRL, 0-1 vs. Hearns, and 0-1 vs. Hagler. 1-4 vs. the rest of the Big 4 combined. But he's consistently ranked ahead of them in all-time rankings. I've never understood this.

Most people have Leonard ranked number one of the big four. Although he fought fewer times than any of them he did beat all 3 of the others in the big four.

In Duran's case he was an all-time great at lightweight and still managed to move up in weight and be competitive against the bigger SRL and Hagler. That's why he is thought of so highly.

And obviously resume matters even if the goofs at ESPN don't want to admit it.

I thought ESPN would do same as you and put him #1 for the attention. Manny deserves to be #2.

They actually hinted at who was the number one guy when they were discussing why Roy Jones wasn't number one. Just go to EPSN.COM/Boxing and look at the Roy Jones video.

That GGG inclusion was terrible. I would have preferred Froch as he beat everyone at SMW not called Andre Ward.

That is true. Froch has accomplished more than GGG.
