Really pleased with how both Eubank's handled this.



Channel 4 send this guy in there to ask questions and he is there only to try and coax a negative answer from one of them to create an attention grabbing headline. I've got no time for people trying to capitalize off of a tragic situation, the scumbag didn't even get Nick Blackwell's name right.

He clearly thought he'd be able to put words into the mouth of a boxer and get a headline, but they are both intelligent enough to see right through him and handled it brilliantly.

The last question he asked, which the video doesn't show, was 'why didn't you just stop?'

It was flat out ridiculous.

'Would you rather have your title or that Nick Blackwell wasn't in a coma?'

I'm glad Eubank Jr intervened there and silenced the nonsense, his questions were disgraceful.

Wow what a ****. He's trying to make the Eubank's seem culpable. If a fighter's life is in jeopardy it's the responsibility first and foremost of his corner to have his back followed by the ref.

So I don't think the questions were "unfair" per se. You answer honestly.

Things can happen in boxing. The intent was not to cause permanent damage to Blackwell. The intent was to do what was necessary to win the fight. It is the referee and the corner of the opponent's job to look after their fighter.

I always go back to Magomed Abdusalomov because it's the exact same situation: his corner didn't protect him, the ref didn't protect him. It wasn't Mike Perez's fault. He was there to win.

Both Eubanks have the right not to justify answers. But I don't think the questions were "unfair". Insensitive, biased, yes.

I think Gary Lockett is the same guy that stopped a title fight when his boxer was fighting Broner with 1 second left in the round. I always thought, 'really, you couldn't give your guy 1 second to get to the end of the round?'
