When I fought I did feel it was personal at times; you get caught up in the moment, adrenaline. But after, no. Mike Tyson did enter the ring to kill his opponent, or cause as much damage as possible, but he was still helping his opponent to get to his feet after.

      It's a savage sport

Facts are boxing has saved thousands of lives , got people of the streets and motivated . It's a tough sport and things do happen now and then but it's the safest it's ever been with the doctors ringside etc

Hope Blackwell pulls through . Bit worrying there's not been any update yet

I never for a second thought Chris jnr would lose killer instinct, he is too early in his career with too much to achieve.
Didn't kovalev injure someone and he's more of a killer now.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the guy actually died

I'm sure you are right. Eubank was coming to the end of his career when he injured Watson so I'm not sure how much eubank had left.

But it diudnt occur to me losing killer instinct is a genuine term. PAC had suoposefdly lost killer instinct. ? Its just a word thrown around.

The way kovalev speaks sometimes is a bit awkward to hear considering he killed someone

This is Michael Watson we're talking about here. For Eubank to have done what he did, and he talked about it on London Real, he had to mentally go to another place. Eubank still had it by a long shot.

That fight, afterwards he was always holding back and it was sad to see. I firmly believe that had the Watson incident not occurred the way it did, he would not have lost to Steve Collins, much less anyone else (except Carl Thompson, a fight Eubank shouldn't have accepted).

Time will tell if Junior can keep the killer instinct. It does a number on you to see that you caused that kind of punishment to a fighter.

All will become clearer in his next fights. But I think instincts kind of kick in when someone is trying to take your head.

I used to believe that, until I saw English go from being a T/KO beast to eeking out SD victories against fighters not in his class and getting stopped/retired by a journeyman.

Eubank was one of my favorites to watch. It really bugged me to see him go from what he used to be...to what he ended up being. Still a legend, but so much potential never realized.
