It's quite sad that a guy who has been in and around the top level of the sport since 2010 with wins over Vivian Harris, Corley, Soto, Peterson, Molina Jr and Provodnikov and fights with Judah, Alexander, Garcia and Postol with a decent fan base fighting on American TV hasn't even managed to keep/save a million.
I don't like Haymon or what he's doing to the sport, but you know at least the fighters are getting treated fairly decently with a decent sized purse.

Yup, it is inexcusable.....

If he does not fight again it is understandable. His style, along with maidana's, is not built for longevity. They did give us some great fights, but Matthysse especially, has shown a noticeable decline his last couple fights. He has been getting hurt in them. If it is time for him to walk, that is fine. There are easier ways to make a living.

That's messed up that he didn't retire a millionaire after fighting at the elite level and giving amazing fights. Either he wasted money or someone screwed him over. I think he could still be an elite but his eye keeps giving out. He was beating both DSG and Postol easily, then DSG laced his eye and hurt it, and Postol seemed to re-injure that same eye. Otherwise he wouldn't have a loss since Alexander/Judah if you can call those losses.
