The Russians don't like losing so they always have a back up plan to smear the reputation of a foreign fighter. Wilder will be really paranoid now.

Can people stop talking about "The Russians" like this is their doing? The fight took place in Chechnya. Those guys are dodgy as **** and make the Russians look like choirboys.

LOL, as someone who's actually used Clenbuterol, good luck using that **** for Cardio, you'd have a heart attack.

Wilder better hire his own indie team to test him blow by blow in case something goes down to have some defense. Cuz I guarantee Povetkin ain't testing positive for nothing even if he walked into the ring glowing & ****.

Wilder on the other hand is probably got 50/50 odds to test positive if he wins. Russia has been nuts with all the foreigners testing positive for something after beating a Russian. Hell of a coincidence or extremely sketchy goings on in Russia.

Chagaev isn't even Russian. He's a Uzbekistani ****** and probably about as loved by Russian nationalists as Lucas Browne is... Just for those of you saying Russian in Russia etc...

This is what I've read. That it's used the same way as adrenaline.

How much did you take? I assume a boxer would slip a tiny dosage just to get wired for the late rounds? Bodybuilding or recreational use (if there is such a thing) or even medical use for asmtha might be far higher dosages.

I think criticism for that entire region is fair game.

                As Hatton Promotions says:

"This is particularly important given the background of recent drug and testing scandals in and around Russian and [E]astern European states."

I get that. But there are posts like this:

Russia Russian Russia those Russians... Except Chagaev is a Uzbekistani ****** and not a Russian...

As for Eastern Europe/Western Asia in general,

It could be that there are simply fewer oversight agencies in place and more corruption than the US (that's pretty hard to believe given that agencies like the USADA seem shady as hell too).

Or it could be Browne got busted. His excuse makes him seem more guilty than he did before. Everything I'm reading says clenbuterol has immediate stimulant effects. Using a clean test taken days before the fight as evidence that you didn't take a instant stimulant is kind of... Poor strategy...

I'm not saying the Russians aren't above such goings on, but people are using this example and applying it to the Wilder fight which is going to take place in Moscow, a million miles away culturally and socio-politically to freaking Chechnya. It just shows gross ignorance. There isn't really a comparable analogy for the States, but it'd be like a shady fight going down in Mexico being associated with a bout held in Madison Square Garden, because both of them took place in North America.

                      From a bodybuilding/steroid cycle website:

                      "21. What’s the half-life of clenbuterol?

Clen normally has a half-life of between 24-36 hours, and can still be detected in the blood****** 48 hours after administering. Due to the relatively moderate half-life, this compound is very popular among athletes who need to pass drug tests."

It also has near-instant stimulant/oxygenation effects

But his excuse is that he tested clean days before when the drug has instant benefits and is out of your system a day or 2 later... Hmmmm I dunno guys... His defense makes very little sense...

If you're going public with your defense at least make the argument semi-compelling.
