This is a good matchup. Takam has a great chin. He is aggressive & will throw punches. He lacks one punch knockout power. He is very similar to Pulev. Parker has great handspeed & looks to have good power but he has only fought C journeymen. Takam is a big step up in class from old Meehan & Brian Minto. This is like David Price stepping up to fight Tony Thompson. Will Parker take the next step or was this too big a step? We will find out soon. The HW division has really become interesting since Fury beat Klitschko. The winner gets the Pulev/Chisora winner...

Don't know who Takam is but I'm a huge Parker fan.

Love the way he puts his punches together.

how do u not know who takam is?
he beat perez, beat the schit out of tony thompson, and was equal on the scorecards with povetkin before that brutal left hook.

as a huge parker fan im very worried about this fight, the step up could be too big...
          takam aient no joke...

I don't really care about any of the fighters you mentioned there, and I only watch fighters I care about. Not to mention I don't think any of those fights were televised in the U.S.

            I'll look him up though.

Parker I'm excited about, not sure why he hasn't been brought to the U.S. Yet. Maybe trying to get a bidding war going.

fair enough, safe to say he's a solid tough as nails top 10 heavyweight.
one thing is for sure, you DO NOT prepare for a top 10 guy by fighting jason bergman.
I dont want to admit it, but parker might very well lose this

Parker is stuck in NZ because he signed with bush League local promoters. He lives in Vegas

That sucks, but I'm sure Showtime/hbo Would be all over him, and the promoters here know that.

Even if he's a pain in the ass promoter, it's still in his best interest to co-promote with a U.S. Promoter.

His current promoters have delusions of grandeur. They actually thought they could get Joshua to NZ to fight Parker

I seriously feel they are pushing him too fast. The guy has fought no one and has been tagged by the likes of Minto, Sherman Williams and Naciamento. Throwing him in with Takam has David Price written all over it. Dont get me wrong hes talented, but the hype is a bit much for someone so unproven that was never really an elite amatuer.

Also Parker really sucks at speaking. He struggles to bring any enthusiasm to anything he says, which would help anything promotion wise
