What is VADA?

I would like to open an ongoing fact based dialogue about VADA. If your opinion is based on facts you are more than welcome to share.


So far:

I read contridictory statements that VADA is/isn't a WADA signatory.

I've also read they may or may not adhere directly to WADA codes and guidelines.

VADA website doesn't offer much depth in regards to policies, procedures and offers little details about the company.


Not even a wiki page.



However I see vada becoming used more frequently by marquee fighters.


In my current opinion - I see VADA vs USADA like using a licensed Contractor vs an unliscensed Contractor to build a house.

They both have the same skill set and access to tools to complete the job - but only a licensed Contractor can be LEGALLY held accountable.


Am I wrong?

I can answer this. VADA was established in 2011, perhaps influenced so that it could protect HBO fighters.. HBO's ring doctor, Margaret Goodman, was perhaps privately funded by close HBO investors in a project which later and comically enrolled Victor Conte as a consultant. Like Hauser to HBO, but VADA having an advantage because Conte looks and talks like a Chicago Irish cop wanting proper hot peppers on that Chicago polish sausage or Italian beef.

Not true. USADA only caught Morales for clenbuterol while in fewer fights VADA caught Berto, Peterson and someone else I can't remember.

VADA has better testing and is cheaper.

They expensive doe, and the billionaire networks that act cheap not sponsoring or providing some support to combat fighters say they ain't legit. As Victor Conte said, "it's the networks that should advocate clean sport," meaning VADA is the only organization that can provide this while stating they are the cheapest and at the same time being promoted by HBO commentary during a bout.

Reason Lil'G got the Apple watch was because of their new deal of HBO content on Apple TV, including sports, 2015.

Ok - so vada doesn't adhere to wadas code but closely tracks.

Vada are the ones who catch the cheats..USADA are the ones that throw away positive samples and create exemptions after the fact..

And neither test all year round in boxing so whoever is getting caught is an enormous imbecile...

USADA does no testing. Its a collection and control agency. USADA and VADA both use the same labs. The difference is there is no history of VADA tipping off athletes on when the piss man was coming or not reporting failed tests to the proper state authorities.

If a lab reports to VADA that a sample came back positive for clen VADA will tell the state AC. If a lab tells USADA that a sample cam back positve for clen then it all depends on what the people paying USADA want. If USADA is being paid for enforcement they will tell the state AC. If USADA is being paid for the illusion of enforcement they will continue to test the athlete until they test negative and/or it leaks to the media. If it leaks to the media they will pretend like they were going to tell the state AC the entire time and shrug their shoulders when asked 'then why didn't you tell the AC on the first positive and instead kept testing?'
