What youll fail to realize is Sullivan Barrera is probably more skilfull than anyone Kovalev has fought in the light heavyweight division and Ward wiped him out. What a complete fighter Ward is. The reflexes, the defense, 1st fight as a light heavyweight and scores a knockdown over a legit fighter. Andre is what a champion is all about, fights the best, shows class, and wins.

I agree with you 100%, it's crazy to see that some people just are real boxing fans they just hate guy so much for whatever reason that they want to see him lose. I've been reading through the different threads and it's funny how people who said Barrera was a good credible opponent are now saying he's a bum. There's nothing wrong with Ward wanting another fight to sharpen his skills, if you go to boxing247.com and listen to Kovalev interview after the Ward fight he clearly stated he doesn't want Ward next, that he want's another fight before Ward but I guess there's nothing wrong with that.

Thats how it works. Just go back a few weeks and there's dozens of posts about how Ward will duck Barrera, now he's a bum lol. It never fails.
And NOW the theme is Ward will somehow avoid Kov despite signing a 3 fight deal with Kov being one of the opponents as a stipulation. No way will HBO give Ward almost 2 million to fight Barrera without getting a Kov fight out of the deal. The fight is happening, and these mfers are shook.

I like dem both. Used to be a huge Ward fan................until he went awol. Good to see him back. If he fights one more time and then Kova by years end, that'll be amazing. It is the biggest fight in boxing.

Neither is scared. If I were Kovalev, I'd be very concerned about how I was going to hit Ward cleanly. I've been watching the Barrera fight several times to analyze technique and it's amazing how Andre's developed an even greater economy of motion. Literally around 85% of what Barrera throws misses.

Yea, I know that Barrera is no Kovalev but neither is the current Pascal or Hopkins anywhere near the same level as Ward. I think people are neglecting to realize that this fight presents newer challenges for Kovalev than it does Ward.
