How massive that fight is in Montreal, you probably konw more than I do.

Right now, there would be interest in the fight.

But if Beterbiev lost to Kovalev and had to be rebuilt, the fight would lose luster and it would take time to rebuild Beterbiev.

Time a 38 year old, or older, usually doesn't have in boxing.

Maybe he could continue beating the Karpency's of the world without much issue.

He might have a tougher time with Alvarez...and if he loses a fight like that he may not get a big fight after.
I have no idea how massive the fight could be; for; for a fight-mad town like Montreal though, seeing two Montreal-based champions, facing off in a unification fight in Montreal, with both guys bringing the heat, I'd imagine that GYM would have no real issue building that into a massive event.

Stevenson is 38 years old; yes that's true; the point that people always forget is that Stevenson didn't even start fighting as an amateur until he was 27 years of age. Stevenson is different from most other 38 year old athletes, let alone fighters.

Stevenson's path is rather simple: fight against Alvarez next, likely a rematch with Fonfara after that, and then a fight with the Rodriguez/Williams Jr winner following that. All matchups better than "the Karpency's of the world", and he'd still be lined up to pick through the rest of Haymon's 175lbers to follow that up with.

At Stevenson's current pace, those three fights get him through April/May 2017

You see him traveling that path more easily than I do.

I had him down for that date already for some reason. I think there was an article on here that said it. I would like to see them both on the same card.
